Is Nollywood still fledgling?

Something is not right with the homevideo industry in Nigeria. This crew was seen shooting on Spencer street Yaba with everything that has bedeviled the industry. Lack of preparedness and preliminary survey has seen the crew shoot a car pick up scene in front of a locked gate. Will we ever learn?

The face bus Lagos bus stops

Lagos bus stops or shelters are coming 2 terms with modernity. And Adekunle bus stop murtala mohammed way Yaba, speaks of that newness. This is the third type of design and they are also representing. Check out the one at City mall Onikan and the others along Ikorodu road then you'll agree that Eko is for show

Pushed to a corner

Fashola's Lagos is no longer conducive for street traders. By the magistrate court of Adebola Road in Surulere, a street trader displays her foodstuff but can't afford 2 show her face. It is a clarion call to all who care 'Lagos no go spoil lie lie.'

The problem is...

Relationships have their squabbles and this is one of such moments for this couple. The guy had apparently taken hold of the girls SIM card to assert his authority. The girl would not give in and insisted on retrieving her phone SIM. For over an hour on a wednesday morning on spencer street Yaba, this couple decided to make their private matter public. And one couldn't help but give them this publicity too-to salute their courage

A vulcanizer's view

Yes, this view through a vulcanizer's tent at Apapa road looks bland. But that's what he gets everyday- watching cars and people pass him by. It looks like no one notices him by the road. Ofcourse his hope is never deferred for too long. Very soon he would hardly notice this bland view. A puncture, a leak and a flat tyre will send a motorist his way. Then he will be too engrossed to worry about bland views. Or any other sorts but to earn his living: gauging, pumping and patching up.

A different world

It's a whole new world down there in the middle of this pix. Inside a motor park at marina Lagos by CMS stuff is pretty localised. Walking through at daytime only gives glimpses of the real thing. The little communities of bus drivers and conductors, taxi cab operators, area boys, local council and transport union officers, food vendors...all provide exhilarating sights, sounds, and gestures for the unschooled passerby and commuter

A colourful sleep

Sleep can be colourful. Tis is what this well made bed seems to be saying. The ambience of the entire room is heavily accentuated by the bed. One couldn't resist taking this pix cos apart from the bed being well laid, the combo of the adjoining wall colour and that of the duvet was a pleasing feed for the eyes

In Need of help

Let's be serious- both men here Wayne Bridge (in white jersey) and John Terry (in blue jersey) need help. Bridge is playing the victim's card and doesn't want 2 come over it. His compatriot Terry is playing the part of the arrogant bully that is been edged on by his gang. Bridge expects the world to stop at his feet and address his case before anything else. Terry believes he's on top of his game and hence expresses no remorse over his actions. Some of us have taken sides in this matter not minding that the tables may turn tomorrow. Yet a few of us have refused to take a stand forgeting that if we fail to stand for something, we will fall for anything.

Left in the cold

The story of this bike is like the many cases of gra gra in our national life. The owners of this bike always ensured that this bike was put indoors before going to bed every night. December 2009 came and the owners completely forgot to continue the trend. And so for a period of over two weeks, this bike was left to taste the harsh cold of the Yultide.
